Orbi devices come with auto-update features, yet users are given the option to update the firmware manually. The manual update feature is useful in case the auto-update fails to download and upload the latest version to the Orbi devices. You can manually download the latest firmware file (for router and satellite) from the NETGEAR download center and save it on your desktop. From there, you can upload it on satellite or router.
